The Institute of Manufacturing Technology – Department of Welding Technology and Surface Finishing offers opportunities for cooperation in both basic and applied research in the fields of welding, soldering, heat separating and the thermal spraying of metal and ceramics.

We offer the following:

  • Creating technological procedures for pWPS welding, verification with tests for WPQR
  • WPS processing
  • Metal and ceramics spraying using plasma beam
  • Re-examining welders with basic courses
  • Performing weldability tests of basic and additive materials
  • Verifying the effect of gas protection on weld joint properties
  • Measuring the mechanical properties and chemical composition of welded and soldered joints
  • Evaluating the macro- and microstructure of a welded joint
  • Processing databases and partial researches into the scientific literature on welding, soldering and testing materials
  • Education of senior welding personnel under the guidance of CWS – ANB Praha
  • Training and professional courses according to companies’ requirements
  • Consultancy, advisory and expert activities in the field
